About Us

Ekensbergsskolan is a small, well-functioning school with approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 6.

The school is nicely built with a round building structure, and the classrooms extend from a large light hall located in the center. The light hall simplifies seeing and communicating with all students and adults during the school day. The school has a versatile teaching approach that mixes digital instruction with traditional methods to keep students' curiosity and creativity at their peak throughout the school day. All students in grades 1-3 have their own iPads, and grades 4-6 have their own computers. The achievement level is high among students, and we have an active and well-functioning work with values and ethics.

We are now looking for a teacher for grade 5 for a parental leave substitute.

What Does the Job Entail?

We are looking for a teacher for grade 5 starting from week 8 or 9 in 2026, as our colleague Malin will go on parental leave. The job involves mentorship in a grade 5 class, planning responsibility for teaching, and collaboration with the school's other staff and your closest colleague Max. You will conduct and evaluate the teaching yourself and together with the teaching team. Furthermore, you will plan, organize, and prioritize effectively and ensure that all processes are completed with good quality. Good support in the work is available from your closest colleague, team leader, and student health.

In our school development, we focus on differentiation and a formative approach in our teaching, and we believe that collaboration is the key to both collegial teaching and an improved working situation for our educators!

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with broad qualifications to teach subjects including English/Swedish/Social Studies
• is well acquainted with all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
• is familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
• has experience working as a teacher
• has a good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

We are looking for someone who can create situations where students succeed. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on science and proven experience that enables you to create good learning environments (didactic, emotional, and physical).

As a person, you are attentive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have a great ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and colleagues. You also have experience working with student documentation such as pedagogical investigations and action plans.

You are interested in driving the school's and students' development forward, you can capture students' attention and create participation and motivation in various activities. You are a secure person with good pedagogical insight who can lead groups or individuals. You are interested in being part of an already well-functioning team and contributing to the well-being and development of the municipality and the entire school.
